Hi Tumblr, I’ve never done anything like this before but I’ve never had a good reason to. This seems like a good reason. Today, my cat Champ was diagnosed with a possible soft-tissue sarcoma in his back left leg. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but will require a biopsy and a possible amputation of his leg. I’ve created a GoFundMe page for him to help offset some of the vet bills for my family. Thank you for reading and sharing. Every bit helps.

Update 9/4/2017

Tomorrow, Champ gets his leg amputated. The growth was growing at an alarming rate, and the vet and I have decided this is the best course of action to take. It has been a hard few days for me personally. Champ has always been more than just a cat for me. 

I got him 5 years ago when someone dumped him on my doorstep, along with his brother, Bro. During this time, I was going through major sexual-assault related PTSD. Champ and Bro helped to pull me out of the depths of my depression during this time and help me realize that life was worth living still. Today, my PTSD is much more manageable, but I still have periods where it is extremely difficult to deal with. During these times, Champ is always there for me to help ground me and calm me down. I’ve never had a cat before who was so gentle and sensitive to my emotions. He is really something special. 

I know times are hard right now for everyone, but I am asking you to share this if you can, because I don’t know what I would do without Champ.
